Engineering is to design and produce products that meet the demands by using science under the supervision of ethical values. It aims to use scientific methods, technology and natural resources appropriately for human benefit. Bioengineering, which is a type of engineering, basically consists of physics, chemistry, biology and life sciences.
Bioengineering is the application of engineering and natural science principles to tissues, cells and molecules. Closely related to biotechnology, bioengineering is concerned with the application of engineering knowledge and biological knowledge in industrial processes. The applications of these two fields are used not only in engineering but also in medical and natural sciences.
Bioengineering is an interdisciplinary discipline in which biological techniques and engineering principles developed due to rapid advances in molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, cell metabolism and basic engineering and material sciences are applied to living systems and their problems.
The difference between bioengineering and other engineering branches is that it applies engineering principles to living systems. Bioengineering, which brings together different branches of science, always meets the needs and expectations of society. At the same time, it will direct both scientific developments and human health and life.
